An Answer to Some of Your Questions

Wow, thank you to everyone for your warm thoughts and prayers. Scott and I are blessed to have so many caring friends and family members.

Events leading up to the diagnosis: Scott had been having minor headaches for a month or so, increasing in frequency in the last month. He also had lightheadedness, dizziness, fatigue, some memory recall problems, and most recently trouble putting thoughts into words. When talking to him for a short time, you wouldn't notice but I noticed after being with him over the weekend. We decided that he should go to the ER on Sunday which is when we got the diagnosis.

Info about the tumor: The tumor is in the left side of his brain near areas that focus on language, memory, and some fine motor. It is called a primary intrinsic tumor. We won't know much about the malignancy of the tumor until the surgery as they cannot biopsy it until then. We will provide that information after the surgery on Friday.

Scott is in very good spirits, as many of you know when you talked to him. What we need from all of you is positive support and prayers. Thank you again for all your offerings for help and we will be in touch if/when it is needed.

Love, Julie
