Scott's Staples are Out

Hi Everyone,

We met with Scott's neuro-surgeon, Dr. Beyerl today. He took out Scott's staples which Scott says didn't hurt much at all. He was happy with Scott post-op scan results and optimistic about his upcoming treatments. Although Scott still can't drive, he can do lots of playing with the kids. In fact, he and Paige were outside playing soccer tonight. For the record, Paige won :) We have also been going for family walks outside after dinner.

He is spending time contacting other doctors and planning his next step. We will see a radiologist on Thursday to get more information about that. Thanks again for all the positive energy, dinners, gifts, support, prayers, and EVERYTHING! We are truly blessed to have such wonderful friends and family in our lives.

We love you all,
Julie (and Scott)

  1. For those of you who would like to support this cause, you can order "There is Hope" wristbands from the Brain Tumor Society website - www.tbts.org

I just ordered a bunch for me and the Spoerl clan.

Scott - I am amazed at your progress, but then again, you are a determined guy. Keep up the optimism - I believe it makes all the difference.

If you need any help with research or anything, I'm happy to be of service. Johan and I are on vacation in Avalon most of next week, but can be available for whatever you need. We can even take the kids for an overnight if you want.

Love you both so much and think about you all the time.
    xoxo

We think of you everyday and send all our positive energy to you as you travel through this time of healing. I am so glad you are up and around with enough energy to get outside with the kids!

Scott & Julie: Just heard the news -- please know you're all in my thoughts and prayers. There are few families with as much strength and determination as you guys...and we'll all be there with you, fighting each step of the way. Much love/Doyle
