Message from Scott

Hey Everyone....this is actually me, Scott.

There have been a million posts to this blog from all of you guys/gals/friends/family/etc. I have been reading them all. In the beginning, Julie was printing out all your posts and bringing them to the hospital for me to read. In the last couple days at home, Julie and I have been reading them together online. However, until now, I have been too lazy to post myself. I wanted to post tonight b/c I must thank you all. The amount of support that I have rec'd from all of you is really remarkable and inspirational. I have rec'd prayers and support from people across the US and from Europe. I rec'd support from people that I haven't seen or spoken to in years. I was blessed to get all your prayers and support, and I truly think those prayers and support worked for me during the surgery.

I also want to thank you all for supporting and assisting Julie and the kids. You all know that my family is of paramount importance to me. Your assistance to my family is invaluable to me.

Thank you all and I love you.

    Hey Scott,
Great to hear you are getting restless. That's got to be a good sign. We're all delighted back here in the office that things are progressing well.

Take it easy buddy. Looking forward to seeing you back soon.

Scott..sounds like you're being spoiled, but good!! The Gery clan is still thinking of you and sending as much positive energy your way as we can muster. Our cats would love to send you some presents, but I don't think you'd want them! Continued success in your recovery.

Scott - Great to hear from you. We have all been thinking about you and keeping you in our prayers. We certainly hope that you have a speedy recovery so you can get back to trivial matters like fighting with DEC!

    Scott,

You know, I know that you were suffering withdrawl from our daily business calls, but don't you think this was a bit extreme? I didn't know I had that kind of effect on you!

Seriously, my thoughts, prayers, and the very best of wishes are with all of you. Tom and I have put you on our prayer list every morning and night. The team here at Trumbull are also doing the same. We sure miss you - well, me most of all as I came back from vacation and had to bother both Christine and Kate to make up for our missed call.

Get better very soon. You are very special to all of us and we all feel a huge hole in our team without you. Remember that we work to LIVE, not live to work so just don't worry about the work. It's still here waiting for you. Next time you might just want to ask for a few vacation days instead of going to this extreme. Andrew's tough, but I think he would have let you off.

Julie - if you need or want anything, please don't hesitate to ask. You are as much a part of our Unilever team as Scott is. We're all here for you both.

    Take care,

    Ella Iott

    Hello
Just wanted to let you guys know that I am still thinking of you and saying my prayers for you every day!
Paige seems to be enjoying her Pre-K class. Every time I see her she has a big awesome Paige smile on her face. I guess she forgot about our promise we made to eachother.. She promised me that she would cry for me every morning.. so far I am the only one crying and she is off having fun.....lol.. Seriously.. Thinking of you guys.. Keep the faith..
I am looking to go to a pumpkin farm one of these weekends.. I would love to borrow 2 cute kids to take with me....

    Hi Scott and Julie,
We want you to know that you have been in our thoughts and prayers since hearing of your diagnosis. Even AJ knows your name and mentions you in his prayers at night. We are happy to hear that the surgery went well and that you are back home with your family. Alex and I have always spoken so fondly of you and think you are such a terrific person. Whenever I think of you, I think about your Christmas cards which have always brought me to tears. You are a wonderful person and obviously loved by so many. Keep up the positive attitude and we will continue to pray for you. If there is anything we can do for any of you, do not hesitate to ask. Take care,
    Tracey and Alex Osborne
