Brand New Chemo

Am I a lucky guy or what?! I have rec'd some brandy-new chemo. Will be starting that tonight and taking it for the next five days. After those five fun filled days, I'll have 23 days off. You are all jealous....

Here is a little update on last weeks MRI information. On Friday I spoke with Dr. Gruber's (neuro-onc) office. He was not in, but he had spoken to the radiologist and they had a final radiology report. The final report said that the "something" they saw was scaring associated with the surgery. Also, I haven't spoken to Dr. Gruber about the perfusion number, but it is not included in the final report. If the perfusion number was a serious problem, it would definitely be in the report.

I also spoke with Dr. Beyerl (surgeon) today. As promised, he had spoken to several folks in the radiology department about the MRI and was pretty certain that this was scar tissue. Of course, these things are never for sure, but seems like some good news.

Both doctors would like to follow me closely. They would like to see me in a month and then most likely do another MRI in a couple months.

Julie is being her usual great self and helping me along the way--despite the fact that I am a bit of a pain in the ass these days. The kids are doing great and are really looking forward to Santa. I am looking forward to Santa too....

I'll keep you up to date on any additional developments.

Much love.
Scott

    Hey guys-
There's a new study out that shows when a happily married woman holds her husband's hand, her stress level is reduced...so I'm thinking that all of the hugs that you have all been getting (both the in person and the long distance variety) must have helped with your stress levels.....so....HUGSHUGSHUGSHUGSHUGSHUGSHUGS
    all my love,
    abbi
