Chemo Starts Again Next Week

Hello,
Scott went to see his oncologist yesturday. He got his new perscription for the chemo at a slightly lower dose since he lost about 10 pounds since last month (the doc says this is just fine). He'll start that next Monday, the 15th. Hopefully he'll feel better this round since the doctor thinks the fever was due to a virus of some sort. If he gets a fever again, it could mean that he's allergic to the chemo and will have to stop it immediately.
His next MRI is schedule for Thursday, February 8th.
His energy level is a lot better. We spent a day at the Bronx Zoo on Saturday and walked a lot. It was probably the most exercise that he's had in months!
Happy New Year Everyone!
-Julie

I hope the doc is right about the virus ... we don't need any more fever, for sure! Keep your spirits up ... you may have to make the zoo trip a regular thing! BTW, the Christmas picture of the kiddos was terrific. Thanks for sharing!

    Scott and Julie,
I just got the link to your blog through the GR grapevine and I wanted to use this opportunity to wish you all the best. I'll be thinking of you and praying for you and your family. It looks like lots of thoughts and prayers are paying off already.
    Much Love,

Well, it's a good thing bald looks so good on the men in this family...the pictures of Scott and Adam from New Year's were kind of funny....both cousins bald as can be. It was nice to see you all looking so good. The kids are beautiful. I'm supposed to try and find the farting dog book for Madi and Lexi....I'm not to sure what Lori will think about it.
We're going down to St Louis this weekend to say goodbye to Adam before he boards the bus for Ft Bragg. There's a ceremony on Saturday and then they board the bus on Sunday.
I"m looking for an apartment in Springfield....commuting an hour each way to work is both tireing and expensive....so I' guess I'll move. Hmmm....suppose I ought to get back to work, so have a wonderful day and remember, you could live in Denver with it's insane amount of snow! :)
    love,
    abbi

If you get down during your next bout of chemo, rent the 40-Year Old Virgin and watch it when the kids aren't around. You will laugh your butt off, even if you feel like crap. It keeps replaying on HBO and I laugh every time!

Keep your chin up and believe, believe, believe. We love you all and our hearts are continuously with you...
