Great results

Scott had another MRI scan today with good results. There is no evidence of tumor growth and he passed all of his balance and cognitive tests too! To say the least, we are all thrilled. It is almost the 1 year mark and he is doing great. He'll have another MRI in 2 months so keep the support and prayers coming.

On a related note, the "Spoerl BrainStormers" are walking a 3 mile walk in NYC to raise money to find a cure for brain cancer. The Walk is on Sunday, October 28th. Please visit:
http://www.braintumorsociety.org/site/TR/?pg=personal&fr_id=1180&px=1349881
to join our team and walk with us OR to make a donation to support Scott is his fight against brain cancer.
Please note that if you make a donation, your name will scroll with the list of donors on that website but when you register to walk with us, you are listed as a team member (not a donor even though you are a donor too - it's just a flaw in the website).
So...
If you want to donate $$: Go to the website above and click on the button labeled "Support Scott" and then follow the instructions on the site.
If you want to walk with us: Go to the website above and click on the button labeled "Join Scott's Team" and then follow the instructions on the site.
We appreciate any support that you can give, even a small amount will help!

Love,
Julie

  3. Hi...I saw your team on the website for the Have a Chance Walk. My name is April Silberman and I'm the team captain for Team Bret and the Teams coordinator for the Race for Hope Philadelphia. This may seem odd, but after reading your story, you may be the first people who could relate to our family's experience. My husband was diagnosed with a Grade II astrocytoma at the end of 2005. You can check out our Team page on the BTS page. I just wanted to say hello and let you know that it was wonderful to read about your great outcome. We were fortunate as well and it makes me so happy to know that other people can offer such inspiring stories of hope. My email address is april.silberman@gmail.com if you ever wanted to talk. Best of luck with the Race and stay well!
