Comments Now Post

Hi Everyone,
Thank you so much for all of your comments. My sister Jen and I just figured out how to get them to post on the website last night. There were over 40! Wow! Scott is still in the ICU this morning. He has had several tubes removed which makes him more comfortable. He has a follow-up MRI this morning and then will hopefully be moved to a regular room later today, although he can't have visitors yet. He ate breakfast and was awake and talking this morning. His recovery is going smoothly so far :) I'll update again later. Thanks again for all the support!

    From John O'Donoghue:

Patti and I are so glad that Scott is doing better. I just found out on Thursday of his condition. If there is anything we can do please do not hestitate to call. Tell Scott he has to get better soon since I am returning to Unilever on Tuesday and I will need my partner in abuse back to give Andrew a hard time. Seriously tell Scott that you, he and the family are in our hearts and prayers and will talk to him soon. All our love John, Patti O'Donoghue and the kids.

  2. We are so happy to hear that Scott and his doctors made it through this first step to his recovery. Our prayers and love will continue to be with you and your family throughout this journey.

    Hi all:

We were relieved to get Ben's call yesterday after surgery. We're praying the news continues to be positive. When he's up to it, my kids -- the curious little folks that they are -- can't wait to ask Scott all sorts of questions about his scar, how many bandaids were needed, and how much of his head had to be shaved. Julie and the rest of the NJ team: take care of yourselves NOW ... Scott's really going to need you when he gets home.
Love, Mary, Mitch, Eve & Eli

  6. Alright guys, if you thought it was time for the cousins to meet at the Irish Democrat again, all you had to do was ask! :)
But seriously, I've got my friends all praying for you guys and I'm praying for you constantly.
Julie and Ben-however I can help, I'm yours, even if it's just a long distance hug and the knowledge that you are all loved by your cousin in Illinois.
Julie and Scott-don't forget to celebrate your anniversary. We've always joked that the best thing Scott could have done was to marry Julie.
Scott-so you've got a funky new haircut, eh? Well, at least you won't have to worry about going bald naturally now...:)
And all of you-don't forget to smile because I LOVE YOU!

    hugs, kisses, and rabbit-rabbit-rabbit,

We are thinking about you and your family every day, and you have made us remember to be grateful for the "small" things. Please call if you need anything. The Jewish mother in me would love to send some dinners or other food.
Julie, please let us know if food would be helpful for you, or if you need something else.

    Scott and Julie,

Sorry for the late response but just got back from vacation to your email. Mark and I are praying for you and know that if anyone can beat this, it will be you!

Just want to offer my services if you need help with the kids - I'm still on Family Medical Leave until the third week in October, so if you need a sitter, please give me a call at home 973-933-2161.

    We'll be thinking of you!

    Dear Julie and Scott,
Now that you know more about what you're dealing with and what your options are, it's great that you can get second opinions to help in making a decision on treatment.

We really appreciate the "blog" in letting us know the latest developments.

Wish we could do more, but know that you are constantly in our thoughts and prayers.

    Uncle Henry and Martha
