Sorry for the delayed blog post on Scott today...we had late doctor's appointments and then had to get dinner for the family :) We saw Dr. Gruber, the oncologist, after Scott's scan today and the scan showed a few small spots that were also on his last scan back in July. The good news is that the spots have not changed in size at all, which means that they aren't growing and that is great news! We also went to see Scott's surgeon just to make sure that he agreed with the oncologist's view of the spots and he did. I'm sure you are all wondering what these spots are and the answer is that we really don't know but right now they are nothing to worry about because they aren't growing. There's always a chance that the spots are tumor growth but there's an equal chance that they are just scar tissue from surgery or chemotherapy. The plan going forward is to continue with chemotherapy over the next 6 months and continue with scans every 2 months.
As always, we are thankful for the gift of time and the opportunity to relax a little until the next scan. Thanks for all the powerful prayers and positive thoughts that you've been sending His way.
Have a wonderful night, hug the ones you love, and be thankful for each and every day.
