Treatment Options

I'm not sure there are any top neurosurgeons and neuro-oncologists, located in the US, that we haven't spoken with over the past 7 years -- most within the past few weeks.  Many of these connections have been made possible through the Voices Again Brain Cancer organization that so many of you have donated to - so thank you!   Since Scott is at a point in his fight where there is no standard road of treatment for him - there are many choices that we must make.  It's not easy and it's extremely time consuming.  The are forms to be filled out, records to photocopy, scans to put on discs, phone calls to make (and wait to be returned), and appointments to go to.  It is overwhelming to say the least.  But in doing all of this, we feel that we are truly making the most informed choice possible.

With all of that said, we have not made a decision yet.  I have always said that patience is something that you can learn, not something that is innate -- but it feels like mine is running out.  I hope we are able to make a decision soon and when we have, we'll let you know.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you who have donated to our Voices Again Brain Cancer team.  We are so close to reaching our $30,000 goal for Sunday.  Our current total is $26,744!!  Only $3,266 left to go!!  Check out our page at www.voicesinmotion.org/goto/spoerl2013

xoxo,
Julie
