Scott is finished with surgery but not awake yet. Jan and I met with the surgeon and he said all went great. He was able to connect the new shunt to the existing tube that runs through his body. It is a new type of programmable shunt with a valve and will relieve the pressure in the brain by draining clear cerebral fluid (where the old one was at the surgery site and drained fluid with debris). The doc says that we can stop steroids (woo hoo!) and that he might go home tomorrow!
