It's hard to write a blog post when the results of the MRI aren't good. The tumors are growing and there are a couple of new spots on the scan. One in particular is deep within the brain. The plan right now is to do another round of chemotherapy in hopes that it has been, and will continue to, slow the growth of the tumors. He will also do an Avastin infusion this week which we hope will help to lesson some of the deficits he is experiencing from the tumor growth. Luckily his platelets have increased enough for him to start this treatment soon.
What else is there to say? I'm sad. I'm sad for our news. I'm sad to see him suffer.
No positive thoughts to end this day. This is the reality of brain cancer. When will we find a cure for cancer? For our spouses, our children, our parents, our friends, ourselves. Enough is enough.
