Scott is Awesome!

That is what he told me to write on the entrance form in the neuro-oncologists office today...he said "just write that "I'm Awesome!"  So I wrote it down - ha ha!  Here's the updated summary:

Test Results:

• Liver Biopsy: Results were overall good.  Showed no autoimmune hepatitis.  Scott is stopping steroids again and we are watching blood test results closely.
• MRI this week: Showed that the tumors are growing...more reason to get treatment started quickly.
• Other Scans: Scott had two pet scans this week, one that is a new kind that measures cell division and the typical kind...these results are really for the doc to use in comparison when we start treatment.
• Blood tests: All good :)

The Plan: 

Scott is getting an immuno-therapy infusion today.  He will start two very small doses of re-irradiation on August 3rd and August 5th.  He will get infusions every 3 weeks and see the doc before hand.  He won't have another MRI for 3-4 months unless something comes up and it is necessary to do so before then.  This is because things might get worse before they get better so we are just not going to look for a while!  He'll continue speech/cognitive therapy twice a week and blood tests twice a week.  In addition, he'll have the thyroid biopsy on August 11th.
