Forever

Scott spent Tuesday and Wednesday in bed all day, mostly sleeping but with some waking moments -- increasing in duration as the days go on.  The traumatic events on Monday night have definitely taken a toll on his body.  We started him on oxygen on Tuesday because his breathing was sounding labored and the hospice nurses heard some fluid in his lungs - this seems to relax him and take the work out of breathing.  We hope that this is just a slow recovery process from the blood loss on Monday and that soon he'll want to be in the wheelchair and go outside again.

A friend visited us on the Sunday night before these events took place and he shared this beautiful song with us and so I will share with you.  It's both incredibly beautiful and sad.  I like to listen to it and just think of Scott and about the forever that we have vowed to each other.

  1. Julie, I am very proud of you. Your integrity, your kindness and your positive attitude make me feel lucky to have shared with you a year in my life working together at ACHS. Now from the distance, I want you to know that I always thinking of you and I also want you to know that I am here for you whenever you need me for whatever you need.
